Whatever your reason for wanting to grow flowers, our cutting garden starter box can help you accomplish your goals.

This starter box will include the perfect variety of plants to get your flower garden off to a beautiful start. Each box will contain a minimum of 36 plants, all of which we have trialed and currently grow on our farm. Each plant is grown from seed, and lovingly cared for until they are big enough for your garden.

Specific varieties included in the boxes may vary due to germination rates and overall plant size/health. So much goes into starting and caring for seedlings, and because nature is ultimately in charge, we cannot guarantee specific plants and/or varieties. What we do guarantee is that you will receive the strongest and healthiest plants, and if properly cared for, these plants will flourish and provide you (and your garden) with the most vibrant and incredible blooms!

Included with your purchase you will also receive a PDF* with instructions on basic planting, plant spacing, and plant care.

A simple planting plan will also be included to assist you in making your cut flower garden a success!

Other important things to note:

  • All cut flower starter packs will be delivered on or shortly after our last frost date in Albuquerque, typically late April/early May. Please keep an eye on your email for communication regarding specific delivery dates.

  • Delivery of plants is included in the price. Please note, we only deliver to the Albuquerque/Rio Rancho/Corrales areas. If you are outside of our delivery zone, I am happy to arrange a pickup time with you (after danger of frost). Just reach out via email after your order has been placed at hello@rowanandwrenflowers.com

  • We are a small family owned farm. For this reason we are unable to guarantee the plants once they have left our farm. There are too many variables that affect how plants grow and flourish. Again, we are dealing with Mother Nature which can be extremely unpredictable and unreliable. Therefore no refunds will be given for plants that do not survive.

  • A lot of time is spent planning and growing seeds out. We are growing to order for these starter boxes. Orders placed for the cut flower garden starter box are final and no refunds can be given.

  • No pesticides or herbicides are used in the growing of starter plants. This means no harm will be done to your pollinator friends! Any fertilizers used are OMRI approved and earth friendly. We typically only fertilize with kelp meal/compost tea.

  • We are peat free on the farm! Our soilless mixes are coconut coir based.

  • We try to minimize single use plastics as much as possible in our growing operations. However, we have not found a plastic free way to provide plants. We are happy to reuse the containers your plants come in, and will offer a $5 coupon on your next purchase if they are returned to us in usable condition. Otherwise please recycle or reuse to the best of your abilities!

  • These plants are specifically chosen for not only their blooms but also their stem length. Most of these varieties grow tall (24”+). If you are interested in bedding plants (low growing/compact), the Cut Flower Garden Starter Box may not be the best option for you. Please visit one of our AMAZING local nurseries (Jericho Nursery, Plant World, Alameda Greenhouse, Osuna Nursery, Plants of the Southwest, Rehm’s Nursery, etc) in Albuquerque to find the bedding style plants you desire.
